The CiceroCMS (CCMS) is a carrier-grade client management platform which enables operators to activate, provision, manage and update client applications simply and efficiently. The CCMS is easy to deploy, simple to use and forms a highly secure and scalable platform which can be easily integrated into an operator’s existing network environment. Its standards-based interfaces facilitate easy interoperability with existing systems including OSS/BSS/CRM and self-care.
Within an operator’s network, service delivery typically relies on the co-operation of multiple systems including authentication, switching, customer support, self care and CRM. Each of these system publishes its own interface, typically HTTP, which apps and devices interact. As the number of apps increase, the same interfaces need to be implemented multiple times which is time consuming and costly. The CCMS resolves this problem by providing a single platform which implements each of the interfaces once, thereby eliminating any duplication of effort each time a new app/service is launched.
Key Features
- Activation and user account management
The creation of user accounts is supported via web services interfaces (SOAP, REST), batch uploads from external systems or via direct manual account entry. The activation of a user or device is enabled once relevant credentials are received. - Initial client provisioning
The appropriate configuration settings are seamlessly provisioned to the client application following initial installation. - Configuration update management
Updates to client configuration settings are easily applied. The CCMS performs configuration updates at specified time intervals (e.g. on start-up, daily, weekly, monthly). These settings are configurable according to an operator’s specific requirements - Client distribution monitoring and control
THE CCMS tracks information including usage, client configuration settings, software versions deployed. This information can be viewed through the administrator’s Web-based user interface (UI) and/or various reports. - Reporting & Analytics
A web-based UI facilitates access to a variety of information and analysis. This information can be presented in different reporting formats which can be defined according to the operator’s requirements. - Web service and systems management interfaces
The CCMS is designed to easily integrate with an operators existing systems and infrastructure. The use of REST and/or SOAP allow for easy integration into existing operators systems including softswitch, OSS/BSS and self-care systems. - Provisioning profile management
The CCMS supports multiple profiles. Profiles can be created for different service lines (fixed, mobile, cable), user types (residential, SOHO, corporate), geographical locations (country, region) or billing category (pre-paid, post-paid). The profiles are easily managed, with different settings being applied and updated as required for different user groups.
Key Attributes
- Secure
The CCMS delivers highly secure internal user access and data communications security. - Manageable
Includes a simple-to-use, web-based UI to facilitate user account creation, profile set-up and reporting. The CCMS also includes SNMP interfaces to allow management by the operator’s own systems management platform. - Extensible
Each operator’s environment is slightly different. The CCMS is designed to support individual operator requirements and, more importantly, to accommodate service evolution and growth as new services are launched. The CCMS can be used to manage both Cicero and non-Cicero client apps using the same extensible interface. - Fast service enablement
The CCMS is very easy to deploy and manage and is designed to slot easily into an operator’s existing environment. - Seamless user experience
From the end-user’s perspective, the CCMS facilitates seamless activation and operation of the service and minimises the need for direct customer support.
